What a beautiful and clean shelter. The staff was super friendly. I went in and made a donation. They have so many beautiful cats. If you are thinking of adopting, go there. I can't have pets in my apartment, and it made me so sad to see how many they have. I was so impressed how well they are being taken care of.
I just want to say I think this is the best animal shelter around! They were SO nice and accommodating to us having to surrender a cat to them and helped us through every step of the way. They really care about the animals there. The facility is also so clean and well taken care of. Would highly recommend!
Great staff and place. Amazed at how much they put into each pet to make them as healthy and happy as possible. Our new cat has quickly become dad's new best friend! Thanks for everything Lakeland!
Wow!! What a beautiful shelter 😍 ♥️ Smells so clean and looks very well kept. We were lucky enough to find our perfect addition ❤️ "Paul" now known as Yoshi is adjusting well and beginning to learn how to be a dog! He's the sweetest and we love him to pieces! …
Honestly feel so bad for these animals. they have tons of cats and make it so hard to adopt. its easier to buy a gun. went yesterday with my mom (we live an hour away from the shelter) found out it takes 24-48 for a application check (which turns out to be a couple of phone calls) we informed them of the kitten we wanted and they told us there are no holds. I asked if this said kitten had any applicants and i was told no. called this morning to see if I had been approved and they told me that the kitten I wanted was adopted earlier today. thats cool. and they wonder why shelters have an over abundance of animals or why people go to craigslist.
UPDATE: went to MADACC, they took my drivers license info & walked out with the most adorable kitten 15 minutes later, without being asked any personal questions. HIGHLY recommend adopting from there.
Extremely caring individuals. Beautiful facility. They really try to do the nest by every animal. Easy to work with. We found our special friend there after a week's long search of rescues.
Beautiful, clean facility. Friendly, helpful staff. Love the cat colony setups instead of cats in cages. Only FIV+ cat colony rescue/adoption I'm award of in SE Wisconsin. Hope to become part of their volunteer staff in the near future.
I’m a 35 year old engineer who traveled around the world building power plants but this shelter wants my 65 year old mom to call them to make sure I have her permission to adopt a rabbit. I think I could adopt a human child at this point without my moms permission
A great no kill shelter. Very clean and animals well cared for.
The staff and volunteers were very helpful. I ended up bringing home a five year old very sweet kitty.
Oh, and all animals are neutered or spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
The receptionist was incredibly rude to me, saying she “really doesn’t care” when I was on the phone. Scoffed and rolled her eyes at me the entire time I was there. It was a horrible experience to have someone treat people that way, it’s disheartening to see that she does that in this wonderful place. This woman Susan was the worst part. However their cats are lovely and the executive director is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She made sure I was all taking care of and brought me food for my new cat. There are so many great people there who keep the place going and love the animals. It was just her that ruined the whole experience. I still recommend this shelter, but the front desk customer service is something to be improved on highly.
